Live mobile broadcast technology, supported by Seamless Interactive’s IP-CAST® network, covers the Obama inauguration.
RandomTV.com will broadcast live news content as we walk around the nation’s capital for several hours each day starting January 19, 2009, leading up to this historic event.
Utilizing state of the art Vomodo SplitSolid ™ mobile technology, developed by Seamless Interactive, Random TV replaces the live truck with one camera operator wearing only a 12 pound Vomodo backpack able to walk freely, streaming broadcast quality video live to the world on the IP-CAST® network. Vomodo creates an entire television station with a staff of four. One camera, talent, producer and editor.
RandomTV will stream live video as they roam from neighborhood, to landmark, to ceremonial event.
Through further development, Seamless Interactive has coupled the Vomodo device with a GPS locator, corresponding to an online interactive map, showing the team’s exact location in Washington DC. The audience is invited to interact in real time by texting and emailing the Random TV team questions or comments as we broadcast.
RandomTV will show viewers what they have never seen: history unfolding, unedited, completely mobile and interactive. As our nation prepares for a momentous presidential transition, the team will premier Vomodo technology to capture the emotions, the drama, and the hopes of people worldwide as they witness the inauguration of Barack Obama.
From the steps of the Lincoln Memorial to the Washington Monument, from the walkway of the Vietnam Memorial to the National Mall before the Capital, RandomTV will be imbedded within the masses, as they experience history unfolding around them.
They will interview, interact with and follow dynamic personalities using revolutionary technology. With this new broadcast technology, RandomTV will change news gathering and live event coverage for future generations.
